I’m a dress girl through and through. Come Spring, you won’t see me in pants again (the American kind dw) until September. I feel like I’ve gotten pretty good at picking out the best of the best in this category, so here’s 10 of my absolute favourites - available to purchase now.
1. Mint Velvet Sailor Dress

Perfect for an upcoming holiday by the water, if you’re lucky to have one booked. Feels a little 2012-Alexa Chung coded, but in the best possible way. It’s 100% linen with a cotton lining, so it’s breathable in the warmer weather too.
2. Nobody’s Child x Elizabeth Scarlett Birdie Dress

One of my favourite brands Nobody’s Child just collaborated with designer Elizabeth Scarlett on an adorable, embroidered capsule collection. This is my personal fave - a super sweet mini with embroidered floral details. Both the mini and midi version are winners, especially if you have an hourglass figure but even if you don’t. They seem to suit everyone. This is 100% organic cotton.
3. Dôen Ischia Dress

The gingham dress of dreams. I recently tried the Ischia (finally!) in another print and oh my gosh, it’s so beautiful. The shape and cut is perfect. However sooo many of the colours are sheer, including the one I tried. The cotton is gorgeous and lightweight, but very see-through. I’m hoping that the dark, busy pattern on this means it might be okay? Or if you have any recommendations for your favourite slip to wear under sheer dresses, let me know!
4. Pink City Prints Meryl Dress

Stunning! A new release from one of my other favourite brands. I love everything about this and it’s a subtle way to add the trending colour of the year (yellow) to your wardrobe, without going all-in. Of course it’s 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton and hand block-printed.
5. Oak Meadow Gigi Dress

This is such a perfect throw-on summer dress for those really hot days. I love the detailing around the hem, it reminds me of Dôen. Look up close and you’ll realise that although it looks like a solid pink colour from afar, it’s actually a pinstripe pattern! So precious. This is 100% cotton poplin and it’s lined in cotton, so I bet it feels really lovely and substantial.
6. & Other Stories Lace Maxi Dress

This would be so chic for a Spring wedding guest option. It reminds me of something Olivia Marcus would wear (my ultimate style crush). The high-low hem is giving me major 2014 flashbacks, that’s my only reservation. Of course, it’s butter yellow, so you’d be right on trend. It’s 100% Ramie which is a material I’ve heard mixed opinions on, but it is a natural fibre.
7. Christy Dawn Madeline Dress

This is the same dress I have in the black and pink floral, but in an all-over red design. I love their simpler take on it and a red dress for high-summer is essential, in my opinion. There is so much detail - on the hem, the sleeves, the bodice, but it feels so simple at the same time, as it’s monochrome. Perfection. It’s Christy Dawn so of course it’s 100% organic cotton.
8. Louise Misha Gisela Dress

If you like the boho side of Parisian style, similar to old-Sézane, you’ll love Louise Misha. Lots of floral prints, tassels and 70’s silhouettes. This dress might be my favourite - the backless detail is so pretty, perfect for European summer. Both the main fabric and the lining are 100% organic cotton.
9. Daughters of India Sita Maxi Dress

This dress is so popular it’s almost never in stock when I check in on it. I haven’t managed to snag it in my size yet! It comes in 4 colours, it’s made of 100% cotton and fully lined. If you use my link you’ll automatically get $30 off applied at checkout.
10. Sleeper Romantica Lounge Dress

Umm, if it was in my budget to wear this lounging about at home, I absolutely would. So breezy for summertime. Sleeper is the Ukrainian brand who made my floral trench (iykyk) and they make some really unique pieces. This dress is 50% linen, 50% viscose.
