I’ve admired Christy Dawn from afar for a number of years now. I think it was 2021 when I first discovered them, although the brand was founded in 2014.
If you’re new to the brand, let me give you a brief rundown.
Christy Dawn is a Los Angeles-based fashion brand known for its commitment to sustainable and regenerative practices. They specialise in creating timeless, feminine dresses and apparel inspired by vintage designs.
A core principle of the brand is their "Farm-to-Closet" initiative, where they work directly with regenerative farms in India. This involves growing organic cotton and other fibres that replenish the soil, promoting biodiversity, and supporting local communities. They prioritise using deadstock fabric, minimising waste and giving new life to existing materials.
Christy Dawn's aesthetic is characterised by romantic silhouettes, floral prints, and natural hues. The brand focuses on producing limited-run collections, emphasising quality over quantity. Their pieces are designed to be cherished and worn for years, reflecting a slower, more mindful approach to fashion. By prioritising ethical production and environmental responsibility, Christy Dawn aims to create clothing that is both beautiful and sustainable.

1. The Madeline Dress

I had to start with my favourite from the collection. It’s rare to find a piece where you wouldn’t change a thing, but the Madeline Dress is that for me. I find high-contrast dresses suit me better, a black with a colourful floral is ideal and I’m always drawn to them. The lace trim on the neckline and sleeves is such a sweet, delicate detail. There is smocking on the bodice for flexibility around sizing, which is something I appreciate about so many of Christy Dawn’s dresses. The tie on the sweetheart neckline is functional, meaning you can use it to tighten or loosen the bust.
This is one of their pieces made from 100% regenerative cotton, meaning your purchase actively helps to replenish the soil and sequester carbon from the atmosphere. This is a step beyond simply using organic materials - truly impressive and incredibly rare to find in a fashion brand’s practices today.
I’ve ordered this so let me know if you’d like a review! I went true to size and bought the medium.
2. The Perla Skirt

The Perla Skirt is an updated, more intricate, vintage-inspired take on their original Gabrielle Skirt. Inspired by a victorian underskirt, the lace trims and pintuck details are truly breathtaking. Again, the tie ribbon at the first tier is functional, and can be tied tighter or looser depending on preference. These are details that make you truly appreciate the attention to design that goes into every one of their pieces.
I went back and forth over whether to order this or the Dôen Sebastiane Skirt and ultimately ended up choosing this one. The extra design details and elasticated waistband on The Perla Skirt just swung it for me. I’ll report back on whether I think this was the right decision once it arrives. I went for the size large.
3. The Brynne Dress

From what I’m told, the Brynne Dress is an iconic and hugely popular silhouette from Christy Dawn. This most recent iteration is a soft blue with a yellow and white floral design. I can see why it would be popular among fans of Christy Dawn, it’s a classic, romantic, puff-sleeve midi dress. What’s not to love?
Adjustable at the bust and the waist, it’s going to accommodate a wide range of body types and proportions. That subtle white lace trim on the puff sleeve is perfection.
I decided not to order this one as this soft colour might wash me out a little, but if you have a darker complexion or low-contrast features I think this would look incredible on you. I’d order in a medium.
4. The Luciana Dress

The Luciana Dress is a new silhouette for 2025 and this first version features a peachy, cream background with a pink and green floral design. It reminds me of a vintage Laura Ashley print, in the best way possible. I haven’t mentioned this so far but I think it’s important to point out that all the dresses I’ve mentioned so far have pockets. Can you tell these dresses were designed by women?
I’d be interested to know how this dress feels to wear. The slight off-shoulder sleeve looks gorgeous, but does it feel like it’s constantly slipping down? This one is probably not in my preferred colour palette unfortunately, so it’s a skip for me. I hope they bring out this silhouette in a higher contrast print in the future.
5. The Isola Dress

I wasn’t originally going to order the Isola Dress, as it’s the same print as the Madeline Dress we talked about first. However… the pintuck detail on the front completely won me over and I just had to try it. It’s a sleeveless version, so perfect for warmer weather or for layering with either a jumper or cardigan, if you don’t want the bulk of a puff-sleeve underneath.
The fabric-covered buttons are adorable and there are panels of smocking on either side for comfortability. I went back and forth on sizing with this one. I usually order a medium and that fits well, but ultimately decided to size up to a large in this time. To me, this dress looks slightly more form-fitting at the bodice on the model, compared to some of their other dress styles. Time will tell if that was the right decision!
Those are my standout favourites from the new collection this Spring. There are a few other beautiful styles that I haven’t covered, so I’d encourage you to browse the full collection yourself here.
